Major Scott Bevans is in the US Army and currently serving as the Chief of Facial Trauma Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.  

After medical school at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, he completed his otolaryngology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, in Tacoma, Washington. After residency, Dr. Bevans entered the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at University of Washington in Seattle. Here he was fortunate to train under Wayne Larrabee, Craig Murakami, Kris Moe and Amit Bhrany learning facial cosmetic, reconstructive and trauma surgical techniques. To gain further experience in oncology, robotic surgery, and free tissue transfer he entered the Head and Neck Oncology, Microvascular Surgery Fellowship also at the University of Washington under the mentorship of Neal Futran, Eduardo Mendez and Jeff Houlton. After finishing his fellowships, he was stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center, the only Level 1 trauma center in the Department of Defense. In addition to his duties as a Facial Reconstructive surgeon he is currently the Chief of Facial Trauma Surgery treating military and civilian facial trauma patients and running multi-specialty, multi-institution, facial trauma board.  He recently accepted appointment as the Associate Program Director for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Otolaryngology Program.
