
Shruti Dhingra, MS, DNB
Biography
Dr. Shruti Dhingra is the current clinical instructor in laryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at the University of Washington. She completed her residency in otolaryngology at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, followed by a fellowship in laryngology and voice disorders from Mumbai. Prior to her move to the United States, Dr. Dhingra held several key academic and leadership positions, including serving as an associate professor of otolaryngology in India.
Dr. Dhingra is the recipient of prestigious international scholarships from the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS) and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). A prolific academic and educator, she has authored 34 peer-reviewed publications and many book chapters. She is also the co-author of the widely referenced textbook in otolaryngology, Diseases of Ear, Nose and Throat, published by Elsevier. Her clinical interests focus on the performing and aging voice, airway disorders, laryngeal dystonia, and creating a seamless continuum of care between pediatric and adult voice and airway services.
Dr. Dhingra is dedicated to medical education and has a passion for teaching. She is an active member of several national and international otolaryngology societies. She now embarks on a new professional chapter in the Pacific Northwest, bringing her global experience and deep commitment to advancing voice care to the region. Outside of work, Dr. Dhingra enjoys nature hikes, yoga, and practicing mindful meditation.
