UW Oto Alum Anthony Law Gives TED Talk

In September 2023, former UW Oto resident Anthony Law, MD, PhD, presented a TED talk titled "What our voice reveals about our health," which garnered over 30,000 views. "In this fascinating talk, he explains how voice is used as a biomarker for early throat cancer detection and the efforts underway to bring this highly specialized skill to primary care physicians across the country and the world. Dr. Law completed residency in 2019 here at UW and is currently an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine and a member of the Emory Voice Center team. His "research and clinical interests converge with his focus on applying machine learning to characterize and categorize diseases of the voice box. His vision is to make voice a biomarker for disease."
