Biography

Ed grew up in Portland, Oregon, and graduated in math and chemistry from the University of Oregon. He attended medical school and otolaryngology residency at Yale University, where he met his wife before returning to the Pacific Northwest. He completed a research fellowship at the University of Washington and stayed on faculty ever since. He enjoys sports, local theater, and spending time with his family of six (nine counting pets).
