Major research activities center on cancer epidemiology, surgical outcomes, liquid biopsy, and tumor immunology. Our research spans oral cavity and oropharyngeal cancers, thyroid cancer, salivary cancer, and skin cancer. Our cancer surgeons focus on surgical outcomes in microvascular reconstruction, robotic surgery, and thyroid cancer, while also studying causes of head and neck cancers and how management can change based on pathologic findings and liquid biopsies.
