Research Focus

Dr. Ferrandino's research focuses on the innovative use of liquid biopsies for the early detection, diagnosis, and surveillance of head and neck cancers. By analyzing circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and other biomarkers in blood samples, liquid biopsies offer a non-invasive alternative to traditional tissue biopsies. Dr. Ferrandino aims to explore the applications of these techniques to improve patient outcomes through earlier diagnosis, prognostication, and personalized treatment monitoring.
